Picked from a tree in the woods near your home or school. Collect your rosies from home or from the garden in late spring, summer or early autumn and dry them well. Don't allow them to turn to wood.

Dosage: If you use powder or make a tea, you can also administer them in 1-3 teaspoons of water as a liquid supplement every day for a few weeks.

Remember: if you use rosehip tea, you can only give it to your cat once a day for a few weeks. It’s much more potent if you give it twice a day.

Make sure your cat gets enough water, either by giving her a bowl with fresh, cool water, or if your cat is older, by placing a bowl of water in another room.

A Word about the Side Effects

If you have tried other home remedies for this problem before, you know that your cat might start losing weight, become lethargic, and even have diarrhea, vomiting, or other health problems because you took too much of the home remedy.

That’s why if your cat has diarrhea, loss of appetite, lethargy, or other problems, you should stop taking the remedy at once and call your vet.

If your cat has an existing disease or condition that isn’t cured by any of the home remedies for feline hrballs I have listed here, you should contact your vet before administering these remedies. You also shouldn’t give them to your cat if he’s pregnant or lactating, or if he has cancer, diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, liver disease, arthritis, arthritis, kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, cancer, any kind of infection or tumor, seizures, thyroid problems, neurological problems, or problems with their immune system.
