Best cat ear headphones under 200

I have been using the Sennheiser HD280 over the last few months and I am happy with them. They sound great for the money and they have fantastic build quality, but I've just noticed that some people prefer closed over open back headphones.

I would love to use a similar style earbud, but the only one available on Amazon is the V-moda M 100 for the same price as the HD 280. Has anybody used the M 100?

What did you think of them?

The headphones are amazing and i'd recommend them to anyone looking for closed over open headphones with good build quality. I got mine at best buy for like 80 bucks and they sound amazing. If you want a cheaper option you could try using regular headphones with the cord twisted a bit and then just plug it into a regular headphone jack.

I think that what the OP was looking for was something other than the V-moda. Personally, I think that the V-moda is a decent headphones. It's comfortable, sounds good for the money and it is relatively small.

The thing with the V-moda is that it is more than a headphone, it is a lifestyle (if I can say so) and V-moda uses different types of headphones that suit different needs and use, for example, the V-moda M-series headphones are wireless but also have a cord and are more focused on quality and noise cancelling. In the V-moda M-series, there is an M-20 that is for "mobile", M-500 for "high end" and the M-100 for "basic needs". Personally, I use the M-100 and the comfort level is amazing and the quality is still good for what you pay for them (like I said, they are still better than some phones).

On the other hand, the Philips headphone are great headphones and sound quality is still good for the price you pay for them. I believe that the same thing would apply to the Apple headphones since they don't have different types of headphones but the V-moda does so they are worth checking out.

Forgot to add this: when you buy a V-moda, you get two pairs of headphones, one in the box and the other in the box. After trying them, the second one will be exchanged for a refurbished one.

The V-moda is not only headphones, it is a lifestyle. As stated above, they are good headphones with a lot of features and if you are not looking for them, just buy them. If you want something different, different they are not.

It was my understanding that v-moda produces the most accurate and best sounding headphones. i like them, and they're a great deal for how much you pay for them (in most cases)

Yeah, I have been searching for the best Apple products and Apple seems to always disappoint me. As I see it, it is better to buy Apple products as a means to a larger goal. That is why I always wait for new Apple products before upgrading. I haven't tried the V-moda yet but from what I have seen the Apple ones cost significantly more so I do want to see what it is like first. It is really weird because I was at the store today and they had these new headphones (the Samsung ones I just bought) and the price was half what I just paid for the Apple ones. It makes no sense at all.

I agree with you about Apple products but the price of Apple headphones seems high when compared to the V-moda. I was just reading about this headphone deal that went on last week that was for the price of the top Apple headphones. The sound quality doesn't seem to be up to par with the top Apple products. That is why I believe the V-moda can give you a much better value at a similar price.

I am pretty sure that the Apple headphones are just a rebrand of the Beats headphones and they used to sell at Best Buy for $99 but I don't know when they are available now.

Well they seem to be available for sale now and I think they are pretty nice. I would say that the sound quality is very good with these headphones. I really haven't listened to the V-moda ones that much so I can't really say much about them. These are new headphones though so they should work very well. From what I have read the top $300 iPhone and iPad headphones and the speakers work very well.

I have tried the Beats headphones and the sound quality was quite good but the fact that they are wireless was a huge factor that turned me off of them. I don't want to be always on and I was worried about them getting lost since they are wireless.

I use both an iPhone and an iPad for video production. It is nice to have the noise cancellation feature but I have to turn the feature off when I don't need it. I use it for long trips or sleeping so it is kind of a hassle but I also use them in meetings so I really don't turn the feature off.

V-moda is really expensive for Apple
